WhatsApp animated sticker maker
WhatsApp stickers are animated WebP files with strict rules, not GIFs. This turns any GIF or clip into one that passes them.

Ten seconds is the hard stop; two to four usually looks better.
Drag the frame over the picture to choose what ends up in the sticker. Grab a corner to zoom in on a face or a detail.

WhatsApp stickers are not GIFs
Most "GIF to sticker" tools skip this part. WhatsApp's own sticker specification requires the WebP format at exactly 512×512 pixels, and an animated sticker may weigh at most 500 KB and run for no more than 10 seconds. A GIF does not qualify, however small it is.
What you download here meets all four. The square frame produces exactly 512×512, the trim will not let you go past ten seconds, and the quality steps down if the file comes out heavier than 500 KB.
Getting it into WhatsApp
WhatsApp does not import loose sticker files. Stickers normally arrive in packs, which you put together in a sticker-pack app on your phone; a pack needs at least three stickers and a 96×96 tray icon. The WebP files from this page go into those apps as they are, without being compressed a second time.
For a single sticker there is a shortcut. WhatsApp lets you keep any sticker someone sends you, and the Send to my WhatsApp button uses exactly that. It opens a chat with the GIFUP number with a short code already typed in. Send it, the sticker comes back within seconds, and you tap it and choose Add to Favourites.
That button is the only feature on GIFUP that uploads anything. The finished sticker travels to our server so WhatsApp can deliver it; we delete it the moment it has been sent, and an unused code disappears along with its sticker after half an hour. Your original video stays in your browser.
What reads well as a sticker
Stickers sit on a chat background at a fairly small size. A subject that fills the square and one clean movement work best. Small text inside the image will not be legible, so leave captions out. Loops of two to four seconds feel like a reaction; longer ones start to feel like a video.
Questions
Can I turn a GIF into a WhatsApp sticker?
Yes. Drop the GIF in and frame it, and you get a WebP that meets WhatsApp's size and weight rules.
What happens to my phone number?
We see it because you message us; that is how WhatsApp works. It is not stored in readable form. A one-way hash is kept for a day to stop abuse, and we never write to you unless you write first.
The code says it has expired
Codes work once and last 30 minutes. Make the sticker again, press the button, and send the new code.
